Position Summary
Odunela Group is recruiting a Property Evidence and Records Apprentice to learn how property documents and evidence are organised, indexed, checked and prepared for professional review.
The successful applicant will not make legal or ownership decisions. The role focuses on careful records administration and evidence handling.
What you will learn
The apprentice will learn how to:
- organise property-document files;
- prepare evidence inventories;
- record the source of documents;
- maintain chain-of-custody information;
- identify missing documents;
- scan and upload records correctly;
- prepare files for lawyers, surveyors and valuers;
- record professional findings and limitations;
- protect sensitive property and identity information.
Principal Responsibilities
Under supervision, the apprentice will:
- sort and organise property documents;
- scan and upload approved documents;
- name and index records consistently;
- prepare evidence checklists;
- record document sources;
- maintain custody and movement records;
- identify unsigned, unclear or duplicate documents;
- record missing-document requests;
- prepare files for professional review;
- update review and action trackers;
- preserve original records safely;
- maintain confidentiality;
- report irregular or suspicious documents immediately.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- WAEC, NECO or equivalent qualification;
- good reading comprehension;
- attention to detail;
- ability to organise paper and electronic records;
- honesty and confidentiality;
- willingness to handle evidence carefully;
- basic digital competence;
- ability to identify obvious differences between names, dates and documents.
Desirable Attributes
- interest in property, estate management, land administration, surveying, law or geography;
- school geography or technical-drawing knowledge;
- experience scanning or organising records;
- basic mapping or computer interest.

- can work onsite in Lagos;
- is willing to undertake full-time work and structured learning;
- is willing to complete aptitude tests and a practical assessment.
Selection Process
The existing Odunela ERP Recruitment ATS will be used.
The process will include:
- Application and secondary-school qualification check.
- Literacy, numeracy and basic digital aptitude assessment.
- Role-specific practical work sample.
- Structured interview.
- Identity and reference verification.
- Confidentiality and acceptable-use agreement.
- Conditional apprenticeship offer.
The approved assessment weighting is:
