Position Summary

Odunela Group is recruiting an ERP and IT Support Apprentice to learn and support user assistance, equipment records, ERP testing and controlled IT administration. The successful applicant will gain practical experience with computers, business systems, user support, information security and technical documentation.


This role is suitable for a technically curious secondary-school leaver who enjoys solving problems and learning how digital systems work.

What you will learn

The apprentice will learn how to:

  1. provide first-line user support;
  2. record and classify technical issues;
  3. support ERP testing;
  4. maintain equipment inventories;
  5. assist with approved user-account setup;
  6. prepare simple user guides;
  7. recognise common cybersecurity risks;
  8. follow access and change-control procedures;
  9. support device onboarding and offboarding;
  10. protect passwords and confidential information.
Principal Responsibilities

Under supervision, the apprentice will:

  1. receive and record IT support requests;
  2. assist users with approved basic troubleshooting;
  3. maintain laptop, device and software inventories;
  4. prepare equipment for authorised users;
  5. assist with controlled account-setup checklists;
  6. support ERP and application testing;
  7. follow prepared test scripts;
  8. record system defects clearly;
  9. assist with user guides and training materials;
  10. check backup or equipment records as instructed;
  11. support employee onboarding and offboarding;
  12. report suspicious emails, access or device activity;
  13. maintain technical records;
  14. escalate matters beyond their competence.
Essential Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

  1. WAEC, NECO or equivalent qualification;
  2. interest in computers and digital systems;
  3. basic ability to use a computer, browser and email;
  4. logical problem-solving;
  5. willingness to follow technical instructions;
  6. confidentiality;
  7. patience when helping users;
  8. accurate record keeping;
  9. willingness to learn information-security practices.
Desirable Attributes
  1. basic knowledge of computer hardware;
  2. school or personal experience with spreadsheets, coding or website tools;
  3. interest in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, engineering or information systems;
  4. basic troubleshooting experience.

  18. is willing to complete aptitude tests and a practical assessment.
Selection Process

The existing Odunela ERP Recruitment ATS will be used.

The process will include:

  1. Application and secondary-school qualification check.
  2. Literacy, numeracy and basic digital aptitude assessment.
  3. Role-specific practical work sample.
  4. Structured interview.
  5. Identity and reference verification.
  6. Confidentiality and acceptable-use agreement.
  7. Conditional apprenticeship offer.
