Independent Assurance Professional

Position Purpose

Odunela Group seeks an independent assurance professional to review selected governance, operational, privacy, cybersecurity, data and launch-readiness controls.

The appointee must remain independent of the operational activities under review.

Scope of Services

The appointed professional will:

1. agree assurance scope and criteria;
2. assess control design;
3. test implementation evidence;
4. test operating effectiveness where commissioned;
5. examine segregation of duties;
6. review launch-readiness evidence;
7. assess closure of findings;
8. report material exceptions;
9. identify control gaps;
10. evaluate management remediation;
11. issue independent assurance reports;
12. present findings to the appropriate authority;
13. preserve audit evidence and independence.

Required qualifications and experience

Individual Applicant

The applicant must demonstrate:

1. relevant audit, accounting, risk or assurance qualification;
2. substantial internal-audit or assurance experience;
3. understanding of governance and internal controls;
4. experience in digital, privacy, cybersecurity or regulated environments;
5. strong report-writing capability;
6. independence;
7. professional-indemnity insurance where applicable.

Organisation Applicant

The organisation must demonstrate:

1. legal registration;
2. relevant audit or assurance practice capability;
3. designated engagement lead;
4. qualified assurance personnel;
5. independence and conflict-checking arrangements;
6. professional-indemnity insurance;
7. quality-assurance methodology;
8. comparable engagement experience.

Deliverables

1. assurance plan;
2. test programme;
3. working papers;
4. findings schedule;
5. draft and final assurance report;
6. remediation review;
7. follow-up report;
8. launch-readiness assurance memorandum.

7. two professional references;
8. evidence of at least two comparable engagements;
9. sample redacted assurance report;
10. independence and conflict declaration.
11. A Cover Letter containing the Statement of Suitability, proposed methodology, availability, independence safeguards and fee proposal.

Organisation applicant must submit

1. A corporate assurance-practice profile.
2. CVs of the proposed engagement lead and key personnel.
3. The submission must include:
4. legal registration;
5. professional-practice credentials;
6. qualification evidence for key personnel;
7. insurance;
8. methodology and quality-control statement;
9. two comparable assignments;
10. two client references;
11. sample redacted report;
12. independence and conflict declaration.
13. A Cover Letter containing the organisation’s Statement of Suitability.
