Registered Estate Surveyor and Valuer

Position purpose

Odunela Group seeks a registered Estate Surveyor and Valuer to provide professional review, technical advice and controlled support relating to valuation, property characteristics, estate-management evidence and professional property-intelligence limitations.

Scope of services

The appointed professional will:

1. review valuation-related procedures;
2. advise on property inspection and valuation evidence;
3. review valuation referral thresholds;
4. provide professional valuation services where instructed;
5. review pilot files;
6. advise on limitations and qualifications;
7. review customer-facing property and valuation statements;
8. train associates on professional boundaries;
9. document findings and professional opinions;
10. advise on conflicts and independence;
11. support quality review.

Required qualifications and experience

Individual applicant

The applicant must demonstrate:

1. appropriate professional qualification;
2. current registration with relevant Nigerian professional and regulatory bodies;
3. current right to practise;
4. valuation and estate-management experience;
5. written-reporting competence;
6. professional-indemnity insurance where applicable;
7. no unmanaged conflict.

Organisation applicant

The organisation must demonstrate:

1. legal registration;
2. status as an authorised estate-surveying and valuation practice;
3. designated lead registered professional;
4. suitably qualified supporting team;
5. professional-indemnity insurance;
6. relevant valuation experience;
7. quality-control procedures;
8. conflict-management arrangements.

Deliverables

1. valuation-procedure reviews;
2. professional opinions;
3. valuation reports where commissioned;
4. pilot-file findings;
5. referral criteria;
6. limitation statements;
7. training;
8. periodic quality reports.
