IT Support and Security Operations Officer
Lagos, Nigeria • Full-time • Salary: ₦2,200,000 – ₦2,400,000 (Year)
Closes in 1 day.
Position summary
Odunela Group is recruiting an IT Support and Security Operations Officer to provide reliable user support, account administration, endpoint management and day-to-day security operations across Group companies and projects. The successful candidate will support employees, maintain equipment and access records, monitor operational security events, coordinate incident response and track vulnerability remediation.
This role operates security controls but does not independently certify that those same controls are effective. Independent cybersecurity assurance will remain with a separately accountable specialist.
Principal Responsibilities
The officer will:
- provide first- and second-line technical support to authorised users;
- receive, classify, prioritise and resolve IT support requests;
- create, amend, suspend and close user accounts following approved requests;
- administer access requests and maintain approval evidence;
- enforce least-privilege and role-based access principles;
- maintain employee devices, peripherals and authorised software;
- maintain equipment, asset, allocation, warranty and return inventories;
- configure and support endpoint security controls;
- coordinate patching and software-update activities;
- monitor security alerts and escalate suspicious or material events;
- maintain cybersecurity incident, investigation and response records;
- support containment, recovery and evidence preservation during incidents;
- perform routine backup checks and escalate failures;
- track vulnerability findings, remediation actions and overdue items;
- support password, authentication and multifactor-authentication controls;
- support secure onboarding, role changes and employee departures;
- remove or suspend access promptly when authorised;
- maintain acceptable-use, security-induction and awareness records;
- deliver ordinary staff security-awareness activities;
- support continuity, disaster-recovery and equipment-replacement arrangements;
- maintain technical user guides and common-issue knowledge records;
- coordinate with the ERP Platform and Applications Engineer on platform incidents;
- coordinate with external cybersecurity specialists on testing and assurance;
- supervise the IT elements of the ERP and IT Support Apprentice’s work.
The establishment expressly separates operational security work from independent cybersecurity assurance.
