Position Summary

Odunela Group is recruiting a Brand and Communications Officer to maintain Group brand standards and produce approved digital, recruitment, internal and public-information materials across its companies and projects.


The successful candidate will combine practical design capability with disciplined content administration. The role will support websites, recruitment campaigns, social media, internal communications, newsletters, presentations and ordinary public-information materials.

The officer must understand that legal, investment, regulatory, property-intelligence and other sensitive claims require approval from the appropriate authorised or professional reviewer before publication.

Principal Responsibilities

The officer will:

  1. establish, document and maintain Odunela Group brand standards;
  2. maintain approved logos, templates, typography, imagery and brand assets;
  3. produce recruitment campaign materials and career-portal graphics;
  4. prepare approved website text, imagery and ordinary page updates;
  5. produce internal announcements, employee communications and newsletters;
  6. prepare approved social-media content and campaign calendars;
  7. design presentations, reports, brochures, information sheets and ordinary marketing materials;
  8. maintain content-development, review, approval and publication records;
  9. maintain a controlled repository of current brand assets;
  10. prevent superseded or unauthorised materials from remaining in active use;
  11. coordinate content requests through the shared-services request process;
  12. confirm the intended audience, purpose, owner and approval route for each communication;
  13. verify factual information with the responsible business owner;
  14. route legal claims to legal review;
  15. route investment and financial claims to authorised finance or executive review;
  16. route property, ownership, verification or risk claims to company related operational reviewer;
  17. route regulatory statements to the relevant compliance or professional adviser;
  18. maintain records of approvals, revisions and publication dates;
  19. monitor approved public channels and identify outdated or inconsistent information;
  20. support recruitment, launch and stakeholder-engagement campaigns;
  21. maintain ordinary media, photographic and design consent records where applicable;
  22. report communication activity, pending approvals and brand exceptions;
  23. support any future Brand and Communications Apprentice when properly established.

The approved workforce establishment requires legal, investment, regulatory and property-intelligence claims to receive the necessary approval before publication.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate:

  1. a degree, diploma, professional training or equivalent practical experience in communications, graphic design, marketing, media, public relations or a related discipline;
  2. strong written English and content-editing capability;
  3. practical graphic-design and layout skills;
  4. experience preparing website, social-media or campaign content;
  5. ability to work consistently within brand guidelines;
  6. experience managing several communication requests and deadlines;
  7. understanding of approvals, confidentiality and factual verification;
  8. ability to maintain organised content and brand-asset records;
  9. competence with relevant digital design and publishing tools.
Desirable Experience

Advantageous experience includes:

  1. Adobe Creative Cloud, Affinity, Photoshop, Canva or comparable design tools;
  2. website-content administration;
  3. WordPress, Frappe or other content-management platforms;
  4. recruitment marketing;
  5. internal communications;
  6. newsletters and email campaigns;
  7. social-media administration;
  8. video or motion-graphics production;
  9. multi-brand or group-company environments;
  10. regulated, professional or evidence-sensitive services.
Personal Qualities

The successful candidate must demonstrate creativity with discipline, accuracy, good judgement, responsiveness, respect for approval boundaries, willingness to correct mistakes and ability to distinguish persuasive communication from unsupported claims.

Selection Rrocess

Assessment will ordinarily include portfolio and application review, screening interview, practical design-and-copy exercise, brand and publication-control interview, final interview, references and verification.
